The Beachburg Lions Club holds a
Weekly Bingo in the Lion's Club Hall.  Doors open at 6PM. This is a chip bingo, no dauber required. There are 15 regular games and 6 specials. The jackpot starts at 50 numbers and the numbers go up each week until a bingo is won. Jackpot prize is $250. Consolation prize is $25.

CATCH THE ACE progressive raffle lottery will be approximately  $1000 this week. There is a weekly cash prize plus a chance to win the main jackpot.  A draw is made at 7pm every Wednesday evening in the Legion club room.  Tickets are only $5.00 at the Legion and can be purchased daily during regular Legion hours.  
August 16, a ticket belonging to Reta Behm was selected, no ACE but Reta won $40!!

Hospice Renfrew holds a monthly
Drop-in Bereavement Support Group on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM.  The program provides an immediate opportunity to connect and share with others who are journeying through the wilderness of grief.  This peer support group is for all losses and is facilitated by trained volunteers who have also experienced grief and loss.  No pre-registration is necessary.  Light refreshments will be served.

The Cobden Curling Club is having another
Paint Nite Fundraiser to raise money to pay for the new ice plant that has been ordered & will be installed this fall. 
The Paint Nite will be held on Wednesday, September 27 at the Cobden Legion, Upstairs Hall at 7:00pm.  Tickets cost $45 plus HST and a portion of every ticket sold goes directly to the Curling Club.  We are painting a fall scene.  The bar will be open if you wish to purchase a beverage.  This evening is open to everyone but you should be 19 years of age. 
Tickets must be purchased online and in advance -- by Sept. 12/17 if possible as we have to have a minimum number sold in order to hold the event.
