Monday - Thursday, July 22 - 25, 9 to 11am TD Bank Summer Reading Program at Whitewater Region Library. That time of year again folks! This year's program is rolling around quickly! Our theme this year is: The Natural world. We will be exploring the things in nature such as: plants, reptiles and amphibians, birds and more. Come and join us! Our program dates are as follows: Beachburg Branch: July 8-11, Cobden Branch: July 15-18and Forester's Falls: July 22-25. As always this is a program for 4-9 year old's (3 if attending school in the fall or accompanied by an adult). And of course, the program is FREE, however we are collecting toilet paper rolls again, thank you!

Friday, July 26, 7:30pm The jackpot in the Cobden Legion'sCATCH THE ACE progressive raffle lottery is now approx $2850 if the Ace of Spades is drawn. There is a weekly cash prize plus a chance to win the main jackpot. A draw is made at 7:30pm every Friday evening in the Legion club room. Tickets are only $5.00 at the Legion and can be purchased daily during regular Legion hours. July 19 a ticket belonging to N. Saturday, July 27, 8am to Noon The Cobden Farmers Market is open every Saturday morning from 8am until Noon at the Cobden Fairgrounds. You will find fresh garden and farm produce, (in season) home baking and unique crafts being offered. Refreshments are available, drinks, full breakfasts or a lunch! All customers are welcome to fill out a ballot which may win a $20 voucher to be used at the Market. You do not have to be present for the 11am draw. Make a morning of it!!
